Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust partnered with Ideagen to tackle a fragmented record‑keeping environment and meet its goal of being paper‑light/paperless at the point of care by 2020. Ideagen delivered its Clinical Portal (including Carousel viewer, QScan scanning, Order Comms & Results and open APIs) with a phased go‑live in late 2015, integrating core PAS/ADT/OPD/A&E systems and enabling the Trust to add GP, pathology, pharmacy and theatres feeds itself. The solution federates multiple data sources, supports urgent result notifications, removed paper storage and retrieval delays, preserved clinic capacity on rollout, and delivered measurable benefits in patient safety, outcomes and productivity — with strong clinician endorsement and a roadmap to patient portals and mobile access.
