Havebury integrates Covalent with Capita Housing Management system for automated PI data updates

Havebury Housing Partnership, a not-for-profit landlord managing around 6,000 properties in West Suffolk, faced a challenge keeping more than 2,750 performance indicators up to date. Their previous manual import process from the Capita Housing Management system was time-consuming and error-prone, making frequent, detailed updates and timely reporting difficult.

Havebury implemented Covalent’s PI Web Service with a simple middleware tool that extracts data from Capita via SQL, builds XML files and posts them to Covalent for immediate aggregation and formula-driven results. The integration automated data consolidation and calculations, removed rekeying errors and subjectivity, enabled rapid drill-down to source records, sped up the annual Regulatory Statistical Return by at least two weeks, and supported improved operational insights (for example in repairs and tenant satisfaction) while being easily extendable to other systems.
