A Ideagen Case Study
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the UAE — which regulates more than 550 organisations across airworthiness, operations, airports, training, maintenance and more — faced a cumbersome, paper-based auditing process that relied on calls and emails, made evidence hard to trace, and slowed trend analysis and oversight. Needing a single, auditable system to manage schedules, findings and evidence across many regulated bodies, the GCAA sought a scalable digital solution.
By implementing Q-Pulse, the GCAA became the world’s first CAA to deploy a centralised electronic auditing platform across its regulated organisations, integrating audit schedules, findings, document control and SMS functionality. The switch eliminated paper workflows, improved audit scheduling and traceability, cut response times, enabled rapid analysis and archival retrieval, strengthened regulator–regulated collaboration, and improved overall safety oversight across UAE aviation.
