Finland’s transport regulator increases efficiency and improves reporting times to ECCAIRS

The Traffic Analysis department of the Finnish Transport Safety Agency (Trafi) is responsible for collecting and analysing safety and environmental data and must submit accident and incident reports to the European Co-ordination Centre for Accident and Incident Reporting Systems (ECCAIRS). With a steadily rising number of aviation occurrence reports and limited resources, manual data entry into ECCAIRS became extremely labour intensive, prompting the need to increase efficiency and improve reporting times.

Trafi implemented Ideagen’s Q-Pulse to provide a fully integrated occurrence reporting and incident management solution that accepts multiple report formats and automates import/export with ECCAIRS. The system cut manual work dramatically, streamlined occurrence management, improved reporting times and enabled more effective safety data management and analysis, taking over day-to-day reporting operations despite limited staff.
