AGC Europe, a European leader in flat glass, increases audit assurance

AGC Europe, the Belgium-based arm of the world’s largest flat glass producer with 14,500 employees and over 100 sites across Europe, faced fragmented audit processes using MS Office, SharePoint, Livelink and ACL. This created scattered data, inconsistent methodologies, poor follow-up and complex access management, prompting a need for a common platform to harmonise audit approach, improve audit trails, increase assurance and boost visibility and productivity across regions.

After evaluating vendors, AGC implemented Ideagen’s Pentana for its suitability, configurability, language support and pricing. Pentana centralised audit preparation, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up (auto-applying templates, allocating work, showing progress snapshots, single-entry findings and action tracking) and proved flexible to configure. The result was a standardised, more productive audit function with stronger, more complete audit trails, improved management visibility, centralised materials and more efficient action follow-up.
