Creating an Integrated Recruiting Platform Following a Merger, Without Interrupting Recruiting

Hackensack Meridian Health, created by a 2016 merger of two leading New Jersey not-for-profit healthcare systems, operates 13 hospitals, more than 120 ambulatory centers and 33,000 employees. After the merger it needed to unify disparate recruiting technologies into a single seamless platform and deliver a consistent candidate experience, while migrating systems without interrupting the hiring of roughly 4,000 employees and integrating supplementary talent-acquisition tools with its HR/payroll platform.

The organization centralized its talent-acquisition stack on the configurable iCIMS UNIFi platform, using iCIMS Connectors to integrate assessments, background screening, reference checking, document management, HCM and job advertising. The migration was completed without disrupting hiring, and delivered faster fills, higher recruiter productivity, a single source for reporting and analytics, reduced data errors and a consistent, scalable candidate experience.
