South African Airways (SAA), one of Africa’s largest carriers and operator of the Voyager frequent‑flyer program (2.5M+ members), struggled with a costly, inflexible legacy platform that hindered partner integrations, reporting consolidation, corporate relationship management and customer engagement for its Corporate Loyalty Program. To unify Voyager and its corporate proposition on a single scalable platform, SAA selected IBS Software’s iFly Loyalty to solve integration, scalability and operational-efficiency challenges.
IBS Software implemented iFly Loyalty to run both Voyager and the Corporate Loyalty Program on a single instance, adding corporate hierarchy management, Amadeus integration, centralized customer data and a consolidated reporting engine. The cutover finished 24 hours ahead of schedule and cleared transaction backlogs; moving all reporting and many processes onto iFly Loyalty reduced manual intervention, sped up monthly accrual/redemption jobs, lowered operational costs and improved speed‑to‑market for promotions.
