Large Oil and Gas Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of a Fortune 10 integrated oil and gas major working on one of the world’s largest natural gas projects (with long multimodal movements and strict Barrow Island quarantine rules), faced fragmented, manual logistics processes driven by Excel, emails and paper. This caused poor traceability, lack of visibility of incoming freight, inconsistent processes across vendors and locations, inaccurate vessel logs and no single source of truth. The customer engaged IBS Software to address these challenges using its iLogistics solution (Voyage Management and Marine modules).

IBS Software implemented iLogistics to centralize and standardize end-to-end multimodal logistics with vendor web portals, near–real-time tracking, ERP integration, graphical stowage planning and automated vessel activity capture. As a result, the Large Oil and Gas Company achieved end-to-end visibility of voyages and material movement, improved incoming freight visibility, standardized processes and KPI measurement, increased auditability of vessel logs, and improved deck utilization to over 70%, reducing the number of vessel movements.
