iCargo Mobility solution transforms Qantas' cargo operations

Qantas Freight, the specialised airfreight division of Qantas Airways, was running paper-based import delivery and warehouse processes that caused long delays, customer queues at peak times and low satisfaction. To modernize operations and improve customer service as part of its Supply Chain Improvement Program, Qantas selected IBS Software’s iCargoTM cargo management platform and the iCargo Mobility iPad-based solution.

IBS Software implemented iCargo Mobility—iPad apps for ground staff and forklift drivers plus customer self-service AWB kiosks—digitizing data capture and automating task distribution. The solution eliminated paper pick lists and delivery‑bay rushes, produced significant reductions in wait and transfer times, enabled real‑time shipment monitoring, cut clerical effort and warehouse costs, and drove markedly higher customer satisfaction and staff adoption.
