Airlink, a leading private South African airline serving more than 1.5 million passengers annually with over 60,000 flight schedules, needed to move from a franchise model to independent operations and onboard a third‑party passenger services system (PSS). This created complexity from differing messaging standards, multiple inventory partitions and limited in‑house resources to build a message transformation layer. Airlink partnered with IBS Software, leveraging the previously deployed WSO2 Enterprise Integrator (EI) enterprise integration platform, to address these challenges.
IBS Software built a reusable, centralized message transformation platform on top of WSO2 EI to enable seamless exchange of schedule and operational messages between Airlink’s systems and the third‑party PSS. The IBS Software solution automated message transformations, reduced manual effort, improved data accuracy and real‑time visibility, and accelerated time to market—helping Airlink meet project deadlines, reduce operational workload, and improve overall operational efficiency across its ecosystem.
