Case Study: Vanilla Air achieves rapid launch and LCC best-practices with IBS Software's iFly Res

A IBS Software Case Study

Preview of the Vanilla Air Case Study

Helping Vanilla Air To launch business operations & implement Low Cost Carrier best practices

Vanilla Air, a Narita-based low-cost carrier owned by All Nippon Airways, needed a proven passenger service system that met Japan’s unique commercial and regulatory requirements (including convenience-store payments and multi-lingual support) and could be deployed on an aggressive schedule. IBS Software was selected to supply its next-generation iFly Res passenger services solution to support the airline’s LCC business model and rapid launch goals.

IBS Software implemented iFly Res (including the DCS module) across five airports and went live with reservations on 1 November 2013 and flight operations on 20 December 2013 after a 10-week implementation. The deployment drove measurable impact: roughly 90% of bookings shifted to the internet channel, staff and distribution costs fell, ancillary revenues and pricing flexibility increased, regulatory compliance and local hosting were ensured, and Vanilla Air carried more than one million passengers since launch — all supported by IBS Software’s solution.
