Case Study: Sparda-Bank Munich improves cross-selling with IBM Social Business

A IBM Social Business Case Study

Preview of the Sparda-Bank Munich Case Study

SPARDA Bank improves cross-selling through social collaboration

Sparda-Bank Munich, a retail bank with branch offices and mobile sales channels across Austria, was struggling to share processes, product knowledge, and customer information across teams. IBM Social Business, using the Safebook social CRM solution from IBM Business Partner INTRANET Software & Consulting GmbH, helped the bank better understand customer needs and uncover cross-selling opportunities.

IBM Social Business implemented Safebook to improve CRM, internal collaboration, and online/mobile workflow by connecting data from nine databases and adding tools like social feeds, customer profiles, a sales wiki, and service recommendations. The result was improved communication, stronger customer service, and more effective cross-selling and up-selling, leading to increased revenue through deeper knowledge of customers’ products, needs, and service histories.
