McDonald’s worked with IBM Social Business to improve its UK recruitment process as the company grew and faced very high application volumes. The challenge was to find better-fitting candidates faster for crew, customer care, and management roles while still delivering a positive candidate experience.

IBM Social Business implemented IBM Kenexa Behavioral Assessments on cloud, including a Realistic Job Preview, Situational Judgment Test, and Dependability Test, embedded in McDonald’s online recruitment system. The solution reduced crew applications by 35 percent and managerial applications by 50 percent, cut management time-to-hire by more than 25 percent, and improved the application-to-hire ratio by nearly 66 percent.
