Case Study: JetBlue advances net-zero aviation with i6 Group

A i6 Group Case Study

Preview of the JetBlue Case Study

JetBlue to reach net zero 10 years ahead of industry

JetBlue, a major US airline, faced the challenge of achieving its ambitious goal of net zero emissions by 2040, a decade ahead of the industry standard. A key part of its strategy involved improving operational efficiency and increasing the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) without passing the extra costs to customers. To help meet this challenge, JetBlue partnered with vendor i6 Group to digitize its ground operations.

i6 Group implemented its technology to digitalize the fuel management process at Boston Logan Airport, moving JetBlue away from manual, paper-based systems. This i6 solution provided real-time data and increased accuracy, leading to greater fuel efficiency. The successful implementation is being rolled out to other JetBlue locations. This operational improvement is a critical component of the airline's broader strategy, which has also seen it nearly double its SAF usage year-over-year as it works towards its aggressive emissions targets.
