United Utilities adds 500 schemes in 3 months with I-COM

United Utilities, a major water and wastewater company, discovered that debt advisors across the North West lacked a central resource for financial assistance schemes. To address this challenge, they approached the vendor I-COM for a bespoke web design and development solution.

I-COM designed and built the North West Hardship Hub, an interactive online portal powered by Vue.js. The solution featured advanced filtering and tools for advisors to add and manage schemes. The results were significant, with over 100 organizations signing up and 500 schemes added within the first three months. The platform was so successful it was highly commended at the Prolific North Tech Awards and is being considered for a national roll-out.
