How Zenprint uses Hotjar to go beyond Google Analytics and understand user behavior

Zenprint, an Australian online printing service, needed to reduce high drop-off rates on key product pages. Senior Online Marketing Analyst Piriya Kantong found that Google Analytics showed the numbers but not how users actually interacted with pages, so the team needed a behavior and feedback tool to pinpoint UX bottlenecks.

Using Hotjar’s Funnels, Recordings, and Heatmaps, they discovered a pricing-table design issue, A/B tested improved layouts (including a hover highlight with next-step messaging), and implemented the winning change. The fix cut the problematic page’s drop-off rate by 7 percentage points and lifted conversions by 2 percentage points; Hotjar is now used daily to identify issues and roll solutions out across Zenprint’s sites.
