How Intelliquip used Hotjar Recordings to catch issues and deliver fixes during a platform switch

Intelliquip, maker of the cloud‑based Project Portal for configuring and quoting engineered fluid‑handling equipment, faced a high‑stakes platform switch that redirected nearly 10,000 legacy users into a new, stricter onboarding flow. After the first wave of users produced support calls and visible “stuck” behavior, the team needed a fast way to see where people were failing in the workflow.

Using Hotjar Session Recordings, the team watched real user sessions, tagged and shared problem videos with designers, and ran two–three rapid code-and-deploy iterations to fix the failure paths (notably an email‑confirmation loop). They also uncovered language and content clarity issues for international users and corrected them, resulting in quick, targeted fixes that eliminated the infinite‑loop bug and kept the large rollout smooth and uninterrupted.
