Trampoline Plezier, founded by Hans van Leersum to make kids happy by selling trampolines, built a content-focused eCommerce site to help DIY customers customize products. Using Hotjar heatmaps to review readership, Hans discovered a key problem: his primary call to action (CTA) sat low on the page and only about 46.2% of visitors reached it, meaning many potential buyers never saw the purchase prompt.
The fix was simple — add an additional CTA at the top of the page where 100% of visitors see it. That change increased clickthroughs from 21.8% at the original CTA to 33.02% overall (an ~11 percentage-point uplift), exposing thousands more visitors to the purchase option and materially boosting conversions.
