My Destination New Zealand, run by Mike Watt, is a small online travel guide and app network that showcases five New Zealand destinations. To grow global brand awareness Mike managed 15 social profiles and was producing about 25 posts a day, spending hours each day switching between accounts and creating content instead of engaging with the audience.
By adopting Hootsuite to schedule posts and monitor streams, Mike now prepares roughly 250 posts in a two-hour monthly session, consolidates account management, and shifts time toward interaction—saving about 48 hours a month. The results include over 6.8 million views on Google+ (535,000 views for a single Piha Beach photo), Twitter growth from 100 to 1,000+ followers in under six months, and more than 3,000 Facebook likes.
