OsloMet (Oslo Metropolitan University), Norway’s largest state university, wanted its online presence to reflect the quality of its academic programmes and campus life to attract high-quality students and staff. Using Hootsuite’s social listening to identify topics that resonated and Hootsuite Amplify to enable students and staff to share pre-approved content, OsloMet tailored posts around alumni stories, student life, research and vacancies. The approach extended reach beyond campus, drove higher-quality traffic (25% lower bounce on student stories), produced a 2% conversion rate on recruitment content, and even drove 40% of traffic to a recruitment event landing page via Amplify shares.
