Georgia State University, a seven‑campus institution in Atlanta with 51,000+ students and ranked #2 most innovative in the U.S., needed a scalable social media strategy to unify storytelling and expand reach beyond campus. The challenge was aligning creative teams, processes, and decentralized contributors across communications, marketing, and customer service so the university’s innovations and student‑success work could be shared consistently and effectively.
The university adopted Hootsuite Enterprise and Hootsuite Amplify and launched the #TheStateWay campaign to centralize content, train advocates, and make it easy for executives, staff, students, and influencers to share on‑brand posts from mobile. The effort generated millions of impressions (2.4M reported), roughly 6,500 social shares, a 90% social adoption rate among executives, and helped reinforce Georgia State’s innovative reputation.
