How the Public Affairs Council Doubled Engagement During Member Onboarding

The Public Affairs Council, a trade organization for public affairs professionals with more than 700 members, wanted to improve its new-member onboarding process without relying on time-consuming one-on-one sessions. It partnered with Higher Logic and used Higher Logic’s marketing software to build a more strategic, automated onboarding experience that could better engage members early in their membership journey.

Higher Logic helped the Public Affairs Council launch a 13-week drip campaign using in-house video content and automated email messaging. The results were strong: the campaign drove a 36% open rate and 12% click rate, doubled engagement versus normal marketing emails, saved the membership team hours of time, and led 53 of 56 new member organizations to use benefits, a 95% success rate.
