A Higher Logic Case Study
The British Columbia Non‑Profit Housing Association (BCNPHA) is an umbrella organization supporting housing providers across BC; they run RENT, a one‑day education event, and maintain member data in iMIS‑ASI. After hosting RENT virtually in 2020 with about 400 free registrants, BCNPHA faced low engagement and time‑intensive manual email promotion in 2021—plus the added challenge of charging for attendance when members were overwhelmed by the pandemic.
BCNPHA implemented a Higher Logic marketing automation campaign using Advanced Starter Kits and the Higher Logic–iMIS integration, launching a seven‑email, month‑long sequence just 19 days after adopting the tools. The result: attendance climbed from ~400 to nearly 600 (almost a 50% increase) despite introducing a fee, while staff time saved allowed them to add sponsors, create a new track, and expand automation to promote services and membership.
