FAIA’s Automated Membership Strategy Increases Engagement 201%

The Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) is a nonprofit trade association representing nearly 2,000 independent property and casualty agencies across Florida. FAIA faced time-consuming, manual membership processes and a “batch-and-blast” email strategy that produced low engagement and required staff to chase renewals and manually enter data.

FAIA implemented Higher Logic marketing automation, launching four targeted campaigns (re‑engagement, past-member recruitment, new members, and renewals) and an automated online renewal workflow that replaced most direct mail. The change boosted email engagement by 201% (opens rose from 21.2% to 63.8%), produced 172 early renewals, put FAIA on track for a 40% online renewal conversion rate, and saved staff roughly 2–3 hours per day.
