Connecting and Empowering Educators Across the Globe

Discovery Educator Network (DEN) is an online community that connects educators worldwide who previously had no single “home” for sharing resources, advice, and support beyond their schools or districts. Faced with fragmented conversations across social platforms, Discovery partnered with Higher Logic to build a purpose-built DEN Online Community and develop community leadership and programming to better sustain peer-to-peer learning and networking.

Using the Higher Logic platform, DEN launched a structured community with trained facilitators, a DEN STAR Educator microsite, events like the DEN Summer Institute, and behavior-driven email campaigns. The results: discussion activity runs 5–6× industry benchmarks, 700+ reported STAR events reached 21,000 educators, email open rates doubled, organic growth and engagement increased, and members report stronger professional and personal connections.
