American Gear Manufacturing Association - Customer Case Study

The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA), a trade group of roughly 500 companies involved in gear design and manufacture, faced a common industry challenge: members working in diverse, fast-changing environments needed timely, practical training and ways to connect for on-the-job problem solving. From shop-floor technicians to sole proprietors servicing wind turbines, members required accessible education and peer support to keep skills current.

AGMA integrated a customizable LMS (CommPartners) with its Higher Logic community, AGMA Connect, creating a seamless, branded experience that streamlined course delivery and communications. The combined platform boosted online and workforce training uptake, enabled ongoing peer-to-peer learning after classes, increased relevance of offerings for field-based workers, and delivered higher usage and satisfaction for both administrators and learners.
