The customer, Wendy's, a major global quick-service restaurant chain, needed to enhance its website's user experience. Their challenges included managing multiple marketing assets, providing dynamic nutrition and location-based information, and supporting internationalization. They partnered with vendor HGS Digital to implement a robust digital content management system (CMS).

HGS Digital implemented an Oracle-based CMS solution that used AJAX web services to dynamically provide content like nutritional data and store locator features with Maps integration. The system also managed promotions and social content while supporting external data feeds via a custom REST API. This new CMS, delivered in a fully managed cloud model, empowered Wendy's to reduce its total cost of ownership and achieve its digital transformation goals with improved customer experiences.
