Commvault, a global provider of converged data management and backup/recovery solutions, needed a better way to identify and prioritize companies that could benefit from its offering. The challenge was finding thousands of potential accounts worldwide and focusing on those most likely to gain from reducing storage management costs and complexity. HG Insights helped Commvault by providing Tech Intelligence data to guide account targeting.
Using HG Insights’ technology installation, IT spend, and contract intelligence, Commvault could pinpoint accounts with inefficient multi-vendor storage environments and tailor outreach based on each prospect’s technology stack. This enabled more personalized proposals that highlighted cost savings, operational control, and risk reduction. While the case study does not cite specific revenue figures, it says HG Insights helped Commvault scale revenue growth globally by improving account prioritization and sales effectiveness.
