World’s Largest Professional Services Firm - Customer Case Study

World’s Largest Professional Services Firm faced an overgrown IT landscape—hundreds of disparate and legacy applications driving high TCO, operational complexity and business-continuity risk. The firm engaged Hexaware and its proprietary Rationalization Framework and Toolkit (including the Business Process Mapper, C‑Quadrant Forms and Gating Model) to assess and align the application portfolio with business strategy.

Hexaware delivered a phased harmonization: detailed assessments, a Harmonization Roadmap, stakeholder reviews and staged decommissioning and consolidation. In the initial 8‑month phase Hexaware reduced the estate from 622 to under 300 applications (about a 56% reduction), delivered projected savings of 15–20 million per service line, and set up a next phase targeting 249 apps plus Application Performance Management as a service—resulting in lower TCO, reduced complexity and improved IT–business alignment.
