PeopleSoft Upgrade to HCM 9.1FP2 for Media Conglomerate

World Media Company, one of the world’s top five media conglomerates, needed to consolidate and modernize its PeopleSoft back‑office landscape by upgrading PeopleSoft HCM from 8.9 to 9.1FP2 (and PeopleTools 8.50 to 8.52) to build a single global instance and leverage new HCM capabilities. They engaged Hexaware to manage the production support, upgrade and global rollout planning across multiple modules including HR, Benefits, Time & Labor, Payroll, Absence Management and ESS/MSS.

Hexaware provided a full project team to perform the upgrade, re‑customization, integration and system testing, UAT/parallel payroll testing, go‑live and three weeks of post‑go‑live support, delivering the project on schedule despite SME and DB constraints. Hexaware removed redundant customizations, implemented 9.1 features (delegation for timesheets/absence, enhanced FMLA, improved self‑service UX such as type‑ahead search and favorites), migrated transactions to the delivered MSS framework, and enabled a global template for multi‑country rollout — improving usability and positioning the company to use the full capabilities of PeopleSoft 9.1FP2.
