Oracle Managed Services for World’s Largest Publisher for Schools to Improve its Operations

The Printing and Publishing Industry, a major global publisher for schools, faced slow, error-prone month-end closes and complex operations driven by about 44 disparate applications and heavy integrated data traffic. Hexaware was engaged to provide Oracle Managed Services (including Oracle EBS support, SIAM-based integration, and cloud migration assistance) and multi-level (L2–L4) application support to address scalability, performance and operational visibility issues.

Hexaware implemented a rapid transition, SIAM-based service integration, modernization projects (customer portal, digital subscriptions, JDE→Oracle Cloud support) and ongoing managed support, handling 100+ critical jobs and 1,000+ integrations. As a result Hexaware achieved 99% SLA adherence after stabilization, reduced month-end close from 3 days to 1 day, optimized an Oracle AR job from 180 to <50 minutes for 0.5M invoice lines, improved customer portal response time by 80%, raised data quality to 99.5%, and delivered sustained performance and automation gains.
