Leading University Advances Multi-Environment Online Learning System

Australia Leading University, a major Australian teaching, training and research university with about 20,000 higher-education students, needed a consistent, stable and high-quality online learning experience (Moodle) across multiple browsers and platforms while accelerating release cycles and cutting the cost and maintenance overhead of a cross‑browser test lab. Hexaware was engaged to provide digital assurance services, leveraging Selenium and Sauce Labs along with Hexaware’s hybrid automation and reporting frameworks to meet these needs.

Hexaware implemented a hybrid Selenium automation framework (Java/Maven), created 75 end‑to‑end test scripts and ran them across five browsers in Sauce Labs to deliver 375 OS‑browser test combinations per day, eliminating the need for a dedicated test lab. The solution produced measurable gains: a 30% reduction in test design effort, test execution productivity improvement from 20 to 375 runs per day, a single reusable automation suite across environments, and automated XML reporting via Hexaware’s reporting framework — significantly reducing cross‑browser testing time and cost.
