Leading European Airline Company, a top‑five carrier by international traffic, faced pressure to boost seat‑sale yields as competition intensified. Traditionally relying on historical data and reservation booking designators (RBDs), the airline needed closer, real‑time yield controls built into the seat‑selling process and engaged Hexaware for Application Support and Maintenance services across its Inventory, Flight Data, Ticketing and Check‑In systems.
Hexaware implemented targeted changes to the airline’s Inventory system (nesting table and record‑structure updates), SSIM message routing and availability messaging, and Revenue Management System interface settings, following a three‑phase Distribution, Calculation and Environment change plan. As a result, Hexaware’s work optimized O&D revenue, enabled low‑fare features such as rule‑based controls and price‑based forecasting, and delivered an IT framework to support further revenue‑driving innovations.
