A Hexaware Case Study
Fastest Growing Telecommunication Company, a European operator with 14 million customers across nine countries, needed to move its critical OSS/BSS delivery from traditional Waterfall to Agile to react faster to market demands. The customer faced long, mixed Waterfall/Agile release cycles, high defect leakage to production, low automation and test coverage, difficulty adapting to changing requirements, and challenges in identifying automation candidates.
Hexaware delivered an Agile Testing Solution and digital assurance program—implementing a “Low Hanging Fruits” test strategy, an onsite Automation Architect, a global test process and automation architecture, nightly Jenkins regression runs, pre-built stubs for system testing, and a shift-left EDDF framework—alongside an offshore-centric delivery and commercial incentives. Hexaware’s approach increased user stories per sprint from 150 to 800, grew automation coverage from ~5% to about 60% (with targets of 75%+), raised releases from 4 to 17 per year, and maintained under 1% production defects over four years, delivering faster time-to-market and lower testing costs.
