Data Warehouse Centre of Excellence Solution for a Leading Insurance Company

The Leading Insurance Company, a major European insurer and the largest in Belgium operating across 14 countries, faced the need for a scalable, flexible data warehouse to meet ongoing business and regulatory reporting requirements. They sought to rationalize their DWH software and hardware to a SAS-based platform, improve efficiency of existing artifacts and processes, and enable SAS server administration and maintenance.

Hexaware implemented a DWH (SAS) Center of Excellence in a co-sourcing model with 24/7 offshore, nearshore and onsite support, standardizing SAS to a single enterprise platform, performing SAS server optimization and migrating more than 428 SAS programs from ZMF/VMS to Windows. As a result, Hexaware delivered dramatic cost savings (including SAS license reductions), improved resource utilization and turnaround time, substantial end-user time savings, lower project risk through fixed-price migration, and parallel delivery of solutions such as Enterprise Risk Management for Solvency II and Life DWH.
