Dixons Retail, a leading European electrical retailer operating 1,200 stores and employing ~40,000 people, needed to migrate UK & ROI payroll for roughly 26,000 employees from a proprietary platform to a strategic, user‑friendly system while reducing costs and securing long‑term managed services. Hexaware implemented and hosted the SAP Payroll solution, handled historical data migration, set up disaster recovery, integrated payroll with PeopleSoft HCM and SAP Financials, and provided a comprehensive SLA and long‑term application management. The migration was completed in March 2012 and the first payroll ran successfully in April 2012 for ~26,000 employees; Hexaware’s work enabled Dixons Retail to insource payroll from their external provider, improve data visibility and operational efficiency, and meet the tight timeline with measurable service continuity.
