A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Swisscom, a leading regional telco, faced mounting pressure from global competitors and needed to become more agile and innovative without disrupting mission‑critical services. To transform its enterprise offering it partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, adopting HPE Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) technologies, the HPE OpenNFV program and HPE Technology Services to re‑architect its platform and enable customer self‑service and unified network control.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise designed and deployed a virtualized cloud platform and unified control application (using HPE Virtual Services Router, HPE Service Director, Aruba ClearPass and vCPE consulting) while Swisscom shifted to agile development. The result: average service time dropped from ~30 days to 5 minutes, new enterprise services are delivered 50% faster, and 90% of fulfillment is automated—driving faster innovation, lower costs, and greatly improved customer self‑service.
