The customer, a US-based international financial institution that provides loans and development financing to over 185 countries, struggled with a J2EE-based homegrown web system and an exploding volume of multilingual content that made site creation and publishing slow and IT-dependent. HCL was engaged to address these challenges and provided its Platform for eXperience Management (PXM) in Adobe CQ5 along with jumpstart kits of 50+ reusable components.

HCL implemented a scalable, multilingual digital experience platform, migrated 100+ country sites, automated label creation, integrated LDAP/SSO and Omniture, and added drag-and-drop content management for business users. As a result HCL helped the institution cut website time-to-market by 75%, increase overall website traffic by 22–23% (with Mongolia up 63% and China up 84%), eliminate much IT dependency, and streamline content creation and approval processes.
