HCL implemented an Operational Control Center (OCC) at Unilever’s Enterprise and Technology Solutions Centre in Bangalore, deploying Business Process Monitoring, Middleware/Technical Monitoring and Application BASIS Monitoring services.
HCL’s OCC leveraged Standard Operating Procedures and a clear engagement model to enable monitoring-by-exception and coordinated responses with Unilever’s Application Management teams. The approach delivered zero-error order processing, removed manual “eye-ball” monitoring, and produced measurable savings (600–800K cost reduction and productivity gains projecting ~£250,000 annual savings), improving overall application resilience.
