A HCL Case Study
UNHCR, the United Nations agency supporting refugees across 120 countries, needed to move its application development and maintenance from legacy systems to PeopleSoft while standardizing ITIL processes and delivering SLA-driven support for a highly customized environment. HCL was engaged to manage the transition to PeopleSoft and provide ongoing Application Support & Maintenance across multiple modules (FSCM, EPM, HCM) and ITIL levels.
HCL implemented its ASSeT™ methodology with a global delivery model (Hungary, Switzerland, Jordan, India), a tools-driven PeopleSoft roadmap assessment, proactive incident/change management, and a core flex support model, leveraging HCL IP and the PeopleSoft CoE. The engagement produced measurable results: a 6% year‑over‑year productivity improvement, established SOPs and end-to-end custodian ownership, improved automation and accuracy, and substantial cost savings.
