The customer, an American MNC document management corporation and leading office automation vendor, faced a complex set of challenges: integrating distributors and resellers into the service delivery chain, monitoring device health and consumables, centralizing consumables reporting for proactive actions, and supporting both software-based and managed services across geographies. HCL was engaged to deliver a cloud-based Service Delivery Infrastructure and IoT-enabled platform to address these needs.
HCL implemented a Service Delivery Platform with Customer Management, Reseller Management and Remote Monitoring, developed a custom device agent for monitoring and notifications, and built a Global Alert & Visualization system plus a data collection and inference engine. As a result, HCL cut the customer’s go-to-market time by 40%, improved device management and service levels, and enabled a business-model transformation that strengthened competitiveness.
