HCL worked with a leading American beverage company (headquartered in Plano, Texas, with a portfolio of 50+ brands) that faced fragmented sales and account information systems, slow decision-making, and manual processes for promotions, pricing transmissions to retailers and analytics. HCL was engaged to create an aggregated portal and analytics-driven “One Front Door” experience—using a SharePoint-based solution with REST/WCF service-oriented architecture, single sign-on, managed metadata, and mobile/iPad support—to deliver a unified view of sales and brand performance.
HCL implemented the OFD portal, integrated EDGE, SAP and other systems, rebranded the intranet, enabled role‑based content and dashboards, fast search and automated promotion/document workflows. The result was measurable productivity and process gains: 220 person-hours/year saved from faster large-file uploads, 960 person-hours/year from bulk promotion uploads, 630 person-hours/year from task automation (2.5 hours/day), plus a 20–30% improvement in supply‑chain review productivity from integrated mapping—delivering a consolidated analytics view and faster, more actionable business decisions.
