HCL Mobilizes World’s Leading Home Furnishings Retailer’s Critical Order Flow Project

The world’s leading home furnishings retailer, with more than 25 DCs, over 10 CDCs and 1,200 suppliers in 55 countries, faced limited visibility across the purchase-order lifecycle and fragmented global supply-planning that caused order mismatches, cancellations, manual orders, stock‑outs and overstocks. HCL was the vendor on the engagement and was asked to streamline the retailer’s Critical Order Flow (COF) — the replenishment and order‑planning process for stores, CDCs, DCs and suppliers.

HCL consolidated business‑critical processes, implemented an automatic order‑synchronization/reconciliation solution, built a near‑real‑time business dashboard, and instituted order‑quality checks with SLA/KPI reporting. HCL’s COF solution delivered near real‑time PO visibility, proactive monitoring and governance, measurable improvements in order accuracy and predictability, and notable impact such as “100 days without an SLA breach,” enabling more reliable replenishment across the network.
