HCL worked with a leading North American multi-line insurance company (the client), the third-largest auto insurer in the United States, which was struggling with a sprawling web of Excel spreadsheets, manual reconciliations and no single version of the truth. The client engaged HCL to implement SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidations) to support planning, forecasting and to create a transparent, standardized planning process.

HCL deployed SAP BPC alongside its Enterprise Performance Management framework to build an integrated, scalable planning model covering personnel, premium, claims, expenses and full P&L with rolling forecasts, automated cash-flow generation, linked scenario planning and end-to-end data flows. As a result HCL delivered a single source of truth, faster and more accurate forecasts, reduced consolidation time from hours to seconds, shortened planning cycles, enabled a global template rollout and lowered implementation cost.
