HCL Helps American Apparel Retailer Unlock Excellence In Inventory Management

The customer is an American specialty apparel retail chain for women headquartered in New York City that was struggling with independent order channels, decentralized inventory, poor cross‑channel visibility and unstable integrations that led to lost sales. HCL (HCL Technologies) was engaged to modernize the e‑commerce and omni‑channel landscape, leveraging Manhattan Associates DOM for order management and Sterling Integrator as the enterprise integration layer alongside the existing Oracle ATG and SAP stack.

HCL implemented Manhattan DOM to centralize network‑wide inventory and fulfill e‑commerce orders from the online DC and 770+ stores, and deployed Sterling Integrator to automate transactions and integrate POS, SAP and third‑party systems. The solution delivered real‑time stock visibility, targeted allocation of distressed inventory, supported order‑online/ship‑from‑store and pickup workflows, and helped the retailer exceed revenue targets driven by multi‑channel fulfillment five times faster than projected while sustaining peak Cyber Monday volumes and improving average retail and margin rates.
