A HCL Case Study
HCL helped a leading US-based women’s fashion retailer (981 stores across the US, Puerto Rico and Canada) that faced resource-intensive order processing, no real-time inventory visibility, decentralized inventory across channels, frequent stockouts, rising markdowns and no standardized systems integration. The retailer engaged HCL to enable multi-channel order management using Manhattan Associates’ Distributed Order Management (DOM) with integration built on IBM Sterling Integrator and SAP PI.
HCL designed and implemented a robust integration architecture, led program management and end-to-end testing, deployed Manhattan DOM across 700+ stores, and took over long-term application and infrastructure support. HCL’s solution improved inventory visibility and store fulfillment, enabled the sale of distressed stock that would otherwise have gone unsold, delivered multi-channel fulfillment 50% faster than projected, helped exceed 2012 revenue targets, increased sell-through and margins, and successfully handled peak volumes such as Cyber Monday.
