A HCL Case Study
HCL partnered with a leading British bank that was facing significant application uptime and testing challenges. The bank's complex environment and limited testing windows were exacerbated by the underutilization of its Service Virtualization tool, CA LISA. This led to project delays, defects, redundant manual work, and a lack of centralized expertise, preventing efficient integration testing.
To address this, HCL established and managed a Service Virtualization Center of Excellence (COE). Leveraging its ASV Framework, HCL provided CA LISA training, developed a centralized catalog of virtual assets, and automated key processes. This solution enabled organization-wide adoption of service virtualization. HCL's efforts generated $680,000 in savings, drastically reduced asset validation time from 2 hours to 5 minutes, and eliminated duplicate work across seven banking platforms.
