HCL worked with one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers to address an urgent need to upgrade CA Clarity from version 12.0.6 to 13. The customer faced end-of-service for their existing platform, extensive customizations and a large data volume that made upgrading difficult, and they could not leverage new performance fixes, interactive dashboards, out-of-the-box BO universes or the improved Gantt reporting available in v13.

HCL took end-to-end ownership—conducting impact analysis, upgrading sandbox, test and production environments in sequence, migrating Actuate reports to Crystal Reports, streamlining processes (security and document management), and delivering user training and stabilization support. Delivered from Noida over a 5-month engagement, HCL’s upgrade delivered simpler navigation, an intuitive interface, web-based and drag-and-drop Gantt charts, enhanced dashboard reporting and configurable cost plans, while restoring CA support and improved reporting flexibility.
