The customer, a global player in the entertainment industry, faced a non-scalable homegrown web publishing system that caused long IT turnaround times, poor site experience, limited ability to enter new markets, and low conversion/traffic. HCL was engaged to address these challenges and selected HP Autonomy/TeamSite (with IDOL for search) as the CMS platform to replace the legacy application.
HCL conducted a product-selection exercise and delivered an end-to-end CMS implementation using TeamSite and IDOL, adopting an MVC approach with reusable templates and self-service tooling so business users could assemble pages without IT. As a result, HCL’s solution consolidated and integrated digital content, lowered operational costs and increased ROI, accelerated monetization through content repurposing and syndication, improved production and archiving efficiency, and enabled targeted campaigns via a unified content platform.
