A HCL Case Study
Australia’s leading provider of integrated financial services, operating across New Zealand, Fiji, Asia, the USA and the UK, faced an inability to respond quickly to new business needs, a large integration project backlog, an immature enterprise integration platform and long turnaround times to host solutions. The customer engaged HCL and its HCL Business Services Integration Platform (BSIP) to modernize integration and accelerate onboarding of new services.
HCL deployed BSIP — a SOA-based unified runtime offering real-time service integration, reusable industry-standard data models, orchestration, message security and logging, data mediation, multi-protocol integration, real-time monitoring and service virtualization (iTKO Lisa) — which enabled the bank to respond faster to business demands, reduce turnaround times and achieve faster time-to-market. HCL’s implementation also strengthened SOA governance, provided an alternate technology container for the enterprise platform and improved the bank’s ability to leverage and manage platform capabilities as they are developed.
